They're the Beatles man. Their songs are great and all the girls thought they were cute (a huge factor). They just played the pop music of the time better and had the perfect image for that time period. I'm not a huge bubble gum pop guy, but some of those old Beatles tunes are really, really awesome.

Wasn't this during the British invasion? All these British stars came over when we were at war (vietnam), just like the women baseball leagues, women going to work... it was all because so many young men were drafted for the war. You can also see older bands coming around this time, like the Mama's and the Papa's, because they were not drafted.

you could hear the music and buy the albums well before they came over here. they were 4 young good looking guys with talent and that of nothing that nobody had ever seen before. when they came over on the first us visit, it was huge. they were a first and everybody wanted to watch and see what it was all about.

They appealed to 'normal' people in the early days - simple lyrics, simple tuneful songs, unoffensive clothes, neat hair. And they did it better than anyone else at the time.

Because they were great and their music and their style (ej. the haircuts) were something new for the Americans on those years. Be sure that their music will be loved for lots and lots of years to come!

Their slant on music was innovative and fresh, they were young, enthusiastic, funny and 3 of them were good looking. They were like nothing else at the time, they were, and still remain, brilliant!
