Hey everyone.

Ever since i was little i have wanted to be an actress or a print model ( i too short for runway ) I have taken modeling classes, performed in school plays, and i even got accepted to IMTA in L.A. However, i was unable to go due to money.

Anyways, to get to the point, does anyone know where i can find a good agent in SW Florida, or does anyone know when any auditions are coming up??

Please let me know!

If you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions. Some of these agencies may have a modeling division or they may not, but that is not my area of expertise and it is not under SAG's jurisdiction.

Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview. Once you have an agent, they will get you the auditions, but until then you can look at actorsaccess.com

Good luck!

Ask your actor friends or acting teacher. Local auditions are often posted in the movie/theatre section of local newspapers. Also try: backstage.com There may be "actor related" publications in your city, ask your actor friends.

Florida is a Right to Work State. You can call any Talent Agency in your city and request an audition.

You do NOT have to join the unions (Right to Work). However, if you have plans to move to NYC or L.A, join SAG and AFTRA while you live in a Right to Work State (FL) as the cost to join is much cheaper than joining the unions in NYC or L.A.
