In august I am going with a couple of friends to Tokyo, Japan for one week. I have been looking online at a lot of sites to try and find some good bars and nightclubs to check out (without much luck), as well as a few worthwhile sights to see during the days. Any suggestions? We will be staying at the Hyatt Tokyo in Shinjuku but are willing to travel to surrounding areas. Actually, I am trying to find somewhere to rent a Ferrari or Lamborghini for two or three days as well, if anyone can help with that as well. Thanks. Derek

Shinjuku has some great clubs. You just have to look around for them. You will want to go Roppongi. It is in Tokyo prefecture close to Shinjuku - Use the JR line at the Shinjuku station and get on the train going to Roppongi. The Hard Rock Cafe is in Roppongi. There is a coupler of clubs I would recommend (if they are still there) Lexiton Queen (I used to bounce there) all the international models and hot little Japanese girl go to the Lex. Viette's - this is a hip hop/ rap club, but the girls there are abundant. Look around maybe there new and better clubs now - have not been there in almost 10 years. Roppongi has a section that is the size of a small town and all clubs, bars, arcades, resturants. 10 and 15 story buildings with adifferent club on each floor. You want to get there around 9pm and hit as many clubs as you can real fast to get stamped and avoid cover charges - most clubs in Roppongi have $50 covers (of course if you are renting a Ferrari you probably are not worried about $) but if you get there before 10pm there not a cover and you can get a stamp to re-enter later. The clubs wont open up until 8 or 9 pm but they are all open until 8am. Trains stop at midnight and taxi's are expensive so plan on staying al night partying.
I would be interested in hearing how the scene is now. Please send me an email with pictures if you want. Hope this helps some anyways.

You definitely should go to Roppongi, there are alot of bars and clubs there. Roppongi is the center for foreigner night- life. It's cool there but the only bad thing is the clubs the are very small. There are people from everywhere there. In Roppongi try the clubs Gaspanic, there are 3 gaspanic including gaspanic 99, Hide Out, Golden Gate, Lexington Queen, 911, Motown, Velfarre, etc. In Shibuya you should go to club Pure, Gaspanic, etc. I used to live in Japan and the clubs I used to go were Gaspanic 99, Club Pure, Hide Out, Lexington, etc. WELL HAVE LOTS OF FUN THERE!!!!!! ^_^

A cool place in Tokyo wouldn't have a website as the in crowd would know where to find it in any case. In Tokyo people go to secret raves where you get on a bus and you don't even know where you are going to. There are "happenings" where you have to follow chalk marks on the street to get to. A website would kind of ruin that. When you get to Tokyo buy a copy of the Tokyo Journal and check out its club listings. They know the hotspots. I guess you will want to go to Kamakura and Yokohama. I don't think anyone is going to let you learn to drive in Tokyo traffic in their exotic sports car.
