I think you may be able to get paid to sleep if you are part of a clinical trial.
Try contacting a sleep research centre such as:
http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/hu/groups/csru/research_program.html
If they can't help you, perhaps they will know someone who can.

I'm not sure if there are many jobs in that field. In the Lil Abner comic strip that is what Abner did; he tested mattress by sleeping on them at the factory, went home, ate dinner and went to bed early so he could get a good nights sleep so he would be fresh for another rough day of work sleep testing mattresses.

Residential homes taking care of elderly, disabled, mentally disabled. The per hour isn't a whole lot, but my friend works 3 days a week and gets 40 hours for sleeping. The clients rarely wake her, because they're fairly self sufficient.

I read a while back about a job out in CA where you could get pain ~$15/hr to sit shotgun in a fedex truck so the vehicle could travel in the HOV lane. If all you are is a live body in shotgun, you could be hungover, asleep, or studying for college.

The only one I can think of is sleep-in shifts in residential home - although I have a feeling that it would involve a little more than sleeping.....

There are sleep study clinics but they are mainly for people with sleep problems but I think they take people for research too.
