**Remember when.......? Five dollars in gas filled up your tank? **

ahahahaha, yes.

One morning during the 50's my father had left for work.A few minutes later he returned cussing up a storm. Mom asked him what was the matter. He said " gasoline had jumped up and went from 21 cents to 23 cents a gallon " and he was very very upset about that.

I don't have a problem with 23 cents a gallon gasoline, i just can not find any at that price. It's $3 a gallon here now.
Thanks for the memories.

Have a pleasant day.

Yea....it was .50 a gallon. I also remember when the big news story revealed that the price of gas could reach $1, and nobody could believe it. If we all knew then what we knew now... it would have been unbelievable.
