My husband uses hand and a leather paddle and a wooden hairbrush, but he wants me to buy a new implement of my choice. Any good ideas?

He needs a good spanking. A belt would be quite appropriate, but a hairbrush works very well too. I'd start with the hand, then move to the implement of choice. You need to be strict enough because he IS older, and needs to know that this is wrong. He knew it was wrong, and chose to lie anyway. Do explain he wouldn't have gotten the spanking if he had told right away about the report cards, even if they were bad. Do not just give a just few spanks or it is pointless. If you're looking for something a little erotic, go to your local petstore and look for dog grooming gloves. They have plastic pricklies on the palm, and are yummy when rubbed across a spanked bottom.
Like PhilipK said, Ian (The London Tanner) makes some fine straps. I happen to own two, myself, and they always work nicely.

I think the trick is to match the implement into the situation or role play. For example, if you go to England to visit Philip (I'm jealous of both you for getting to visit England and him for maybe getting to spank your bare bottom) you could get an English gentleman's spanking on the first morning at Philip's English castle (all Englishmen live in castles cause I've seen it in movies). You two will be both sipping Earl Grey tea or English Breakfast tea talking very politely, when a thud outside is heard. Philip goes out to check. He comes back in with the Times (English newspaper) that the delivery boy has thrown on the doorstep. Philip looks at the roll, looks at you, looks at the roll again, he starts tapping it in his hand, and before anybody can yell "god save the queen'' you have already thrown yourself into position over his gentleman's armchair by the fire, bare bottom in the air begging to learn the latest news.
Other ideas could be a paddle steamer (has lots of paddles) if Phillip lives near a river, or maybe a really dominant and angry Koala if you come to visit me in Australia. I would swing the marsupial by the legs and whack its face into your aching bare bottom. If you are really naughty, the Koala may have to bare its teeth.

There's also a terrific wooden paddle sold under the name of BC PaddleBall. It has a rubber ball and length of elastic attached, but they're easily removed. It's made of 7-ply wood - very effective and virtually indestructible. You can find it at www.jugglingstore.com

a wooden paddle with 1" holes or a riding crop they make for a nice sting or a good ol leather belt. The best thing my dad ever used was a willow switch that thing would leave some nice welts

Actually they are "equal"-and at least in my dealings over the years ,from early school swats,to adult roll plays -it seems the more erotic when certain people who use the implement or get it used on them as opposed to the actual tool of punishment itself. Im always designing and making different -seemingly more effective spanking toys-as are a lot of people who share this compulsion..

Leather quitrs are wonderful...signal whips too...crops are fun, canes are THEE best, if you are not into leather...all of the toys have good and bad things, but all are worth trying. :)
