Depends where you are located. You could try your local reclamation yard. Alternatively, try local joiners - they are often looking for good seasoned timber. It helps if you know what sort of wood it is. The market for pine is fairly limited, but if it is a hardwood you should be in the money.

Look for people in the picture framing business, maybe Michael's, someone like that. I was looking for this awhile ago and found what I needed. Barn wood is on demand.

I have seen ads in the paper 'old house' lots of old wood. YOU remove.
