For the record, I am aware that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is doing great work around the world, and no I don't really believe that Bill is evil. Microsoft maybe, but not Bill personally.

I agree!
I do not want to have Yahoo! taken over by MS. This monopoly of Gates has got to have some limits! I have used Yahoo! for years and years and feel like it would be similar to a Walt Disney Corp. effect!

But how do you fight such a thing? This will be decided by CEOs...Presidents and the rest of the Yahoo! executive staff. I would assume that they are no different from any other company's executives and they will bow to the mighty dollar. And from a business perspective...who can blame them? We will have no say and we wont boycott or be able to organize any other effective form of protest over our fear of being bereived of Yahoo!Answers and other Yahoo! forums.

I think that a lot of ppl are making it known to Yahoo! that we dont agree with the idea of MS taking over Yahoo! I sent an email to the Yahoo! staff this morning and probably others have as well.

Can we get it together as a group and let Yahoo! hear our voices loud and clear? Do they really even care?

Bill Gates is one of the few true philanthropists on the face of this Earth. He (along with Warren Buffet) has given away huge amounts of his personal wealth for all kinds of philanthropic efforts. It's too bad we don't have more CEOs like that in this country. -RKO- 05/04/07
