Only you can design a metaphoric sculpture. That is the point of the project.

Do you have the freedom to use whatever materials you want?
Are you going to become an early childhood educator?

One idea I have is to do a self-portrait sculpture that projects you at a certain stage. You could do the basic image with materials like wire and paper mache. Then surround yourself with objects you would find at that stage of your teaching career -- blackboards, balls, toys. Search for "found" objects that creatively relate to your goal.

Email me if you would like a sounding board for whatever project you decide on. I never mind being a mentor, but you have to do the hard work. That said, don't make the project too difficult.

The result of any metaphorical sculpture should be easy for others to "read" and understand.
