It's all about the story! If the story is good then the sex, violence & gore are just added flavors because a good story will still be a good story. If the story NEEDS these things in order to be good, then the whole movie is just mindless. Don't get me wrong though, MINDLESS MOVIES are sometimes the great ones! :-)

How about dialog and character?
Those two things can justify nudity and sex, and violence and gore.
Because if I don't care about who's getting naked and having sex, then it's nothing more than a bad softcore porn.
And if I don't care about who's getting mangled and ripped apart, then it's nothing more than a snuff film.
That's the difference.
Plus violence is a tad overdone today.
A little bit of horrible wretch inducing violence goes a long way. Something that many "horror" flicks today don't quite understand.

nudity and sex are a natural & beautiful part of life. violence and gore is bad. bring on more of the sexy time!

I wanna see movies that will scare you without there being all this gore. I don't think movies need to have all this to be good.

Violence and Gore .
I think drama is better . it's talk about our life . sex take about 10 minute daily .
Drama and honor romance is better

I saw part of it waayy back in the eighties.
when I was supposed to be asleep (school night)
An island where an ARMY (knives and guns)
of zombie-pirate-soldier things....
kidnapped people for breading stock and food.
Language
Violence
Sex
Canabalism
Evil Magic Rituals
Gore.
I never did see the whole movie.
I guess I'll go check blockbuster now... bye bye.
