...I would say yes, however, there's one pitfall to that.....RISK....if you've played RISK, you'd know that Russia is simply unconquerable...It's a beast...so until love comes along and conquers that mighty frozen tundra, I have to say love doesn't conquer all.....God I need more to do at work....

From a logical point of view, the question is nonsense. "All" what? "Conquer" how? "Love" of what, for what, by what or whom? What, exactly, do you mean by "love?" Agape? Eros? Motherly? Etc.

If you are merely inquiring into the poetic phrase's accuracy, clearly not. Love of money, power or greed can never be satisfied, although often used to justify conquering other persons, states, nations or corporations. War, hate, crime, etc., are not conquered by love. The divorce rate is ample proof that love cannot even conquer marriage breakups.

Aren't you glad you asked this question?

well, if by love you mean God, and if by conquer all you mean God will kick satan's ***, then hell yes!
If by love you mean the finite love of another person of this earth, and by conquer all you mean parents and odds that might be obstacles between you and ultimate happiness, then...... maybe, maybe not.
I am not a romantic. I'm a realist. I'm not about the Tristan & Isoldes and Romeo & Juliets of life. That's not beautiful love conquered to me. Real beautiful love to me is reality. Quiet, faithful, true, pure.

is a good question......
the true love does .
Did You ever hear the expression " My Soul Mate". Well, that expession came from a person Who knew the true love.

Conquer is not "quite" the word that may apply to the case.
But, the True Love surpass many barricades. like Time and Distance.

When You Love someone. You Can seeYour beloved one defects and that person can hurt You the Most( in fact is the only one that can) but You don't stop loving because You can't

True Love is not easy.....Nobody promise You the easy Love....
But, when the True Love get into Your heart stay forever ..whether You like it or not.

So, DO NOT HURT BACK TO YOUR BELOVED ONE,WHATEVER HURT YOU DO GONNA HURT YOU MORE IN THE FUTURE. EVEN IF THE OTHER PERSON SAY NOTHING
BE NICE
BE COOL.

It's funny how many people said "yes" it just shows you how many people are romantics not realists. I myself am a romantic and have learned the hard way that love does NOT conquer all. Sad really but, there it is.

Isn't it peace and love that George Bush is trying to spread in Iraq? So in that lame example, it wouldn't seem so. But being the optimist that I consider myself, maybe love does conquer all.

Not really. Love is a pacifier. Hate conquers all.
As such, it is my diabolical plan to bombard your physce with systematically calculated insults & witty sarcatic jabs designed specifically in reference to traumatic events pertaining to your grief-stricken childhood, to the point where I have utterly devastated your self esteem, utterly convincing you of the fact that you are infact nothing BUT a useless piece of meat to be used for my pleasure, reducing you to a weeping wreck of wide-eyed fear & paranoia.
It is then that I shall offer you the shelter of my protection from the venemous world that I have created, from whence you shall have to obey my every perverse intrusion into the very deapths of your soul, much like the bush administration protects the U.S from Islamic fundamentalism with the Patriot Act.

If you love something or someone, why would you want to conquer it?

It is a nice thought, but unfortunately....no. It is a story we are all told when we are kids, sleeping beauty, snow white, and Cinderella, that love with break curses and end suffering, we all live happily ever after. The truth is that the ones who love us the most seem to be the ones who hurt us the most, and the ones we love in turn we hurt. Don't get me wrong, love has been known to heal, and bring on massive strength in emergency's, and love is beautiful, but there is equal pain and sadness to go along with it. To love is to hurt, and to hurt is to love, or so it seems.
