Has there ever been a time when you have been scared from a movie but too 'male' to show it?

I may have been scared but too intellegent to act like an idiot about it. A startle relfex is perfectly natural. However, as far as masculinity goes, bravery is not the lack of fear. Bravery is being scared but doing what is necessary to be done anyway.

I have never been a big fan of thriller movies because the stories are usually so far fetched, the characters so one dimentional and stupid that I really didn't care enough about them to feel empathy.

Maybe men tend to feel that when danger lurks we should be taking action not just screaming and panicing. I have been in some really dangerous situations in my life. For some reason, true fear makes me focus more clearly. I did not panic, I did not get excited. I just figured out what to do and did it.

Afterward, when I and everyone was safe I collapsed into a sobbing wreak. The realization of what could have happened only came after the fact. I cannot say it was due any skill on my part. But finding a solution was my only focus and it blocked everyting else.

I realize this is a little afield of what you were asking but I figured you wanted to understand the male mind a bit better.

I don't have a problem admitting that I'm scared to watch certain movies. I can't think of any specific movies at the moment but there have def. been times that I've been a little freaked out.

No, I am not scared of a stupid make believe movie. Sure a thrilling or gruesome scene can put me on the edge of my seat but scared is not the appropriate word. I like to use the word stupid, because I am stupid if I paid money to see a scary movie.

No. I may be surprised but not scared. I don't like thriller films, actually I prefer comedies.
