It is unremitting and becoming tiresom but in a peculiar way terribly amusing! I now understand why riots occur as these people are immature bigots who can't accept reality and in their vitriol Diminish the achievements of their sides and resort to violence to vent their "temper tantrums".

Probably should say that the SL team I respect, they played well. It’s SOME of the rabid supporters that make me laugh! As to violence of course I reject it. The virulent and spiteful invectives spouted by these people make me see were riots (cricket or soccer) come from.
They forget that this is merely a game,a passtime which to enjoy!

Very amused! where else can they vent their temper tantrums, but here. It sad that other people with genuine and sincere answers have to bear the brunt of bigotry and abuse. All in the name of Cricket!!...good question.

Whoa Kanga Banga, it is easy to understand that the Aussies are just a bunch of cheaters. Even you guys know that but you're blaming the Lankans and other anti- Aussie fans just to make your self feel better by thinking nothing is wrong with the Aussie team and their win was legitimate. The world knows the Aussies did not win the world cup. It's Gillie's squash ball that should be given all the credit... As long as you guys post silly questions like these, other anti-aussie (according to you) fans will not stop telling the way they feel. How sad..... The future kids will "never" know how the Aussies won the 2007 world cup... ALAS.....

A game should played fair.
If a team looses fair and square every one accepts the result here SriLankan supporters feel they are cheated by poor umpiring and the unfair rules of ICC.
This is the reason all the problems.
These things do happen take it easy.

i must admit seeing our team labelled homosexual cheaters repeatedly is kinda funny.
I am not sure i understand the squash ball thing but the ICC determines what happens after rain delays, the umpires of the day decide if play should go on, not the Australian team.

Did SL have bad luck, I'd say it raining on match day - something that hadn't happened in 7 weeks - was unfortunate. but thell me how they were going to get the 60 odd runs off 3 overs??

hay kanga mu tt
World Cup final was between Sri Lanka and Gilchrist (not Australia). All other in-form Australian batsmen were struggling to score except the out-of-form Gilchrist who had this squash ball to enhance his grip

so the answer is..

icc support and umpire support
helped asstralia to steal the cup

cheaters became beaters
cheaters fans too R cheaters

so you are a cheater too

Let us move on and go ahead.
Don;t jump to hasty conclusions.
It is as bad as of those giving vent to their disappointments.
