Iron the shirts when they're still a bit damp from washing. (Once creases have dried in they'll be harder to iron out.) Then hang them on padded clothes hangers (not wire ones) to give it the right shape. Iron your clothes the day before you wear them - if you wear them straight away they'll crease easier. I'm sure there are some good how-tos on the net about how to iron a shirt. google it.

Obviously you have the iron setting on cotton, put some steam to it. If that does not work, buy a can of starch (in the laundry aisle at the market) and spray the shirt with it prior to ironing. That should work!

Use spray starch or take it to the laundry and ask for heavy starch. I take my husbands shirts to the laundry every 3-4 wearings. I launder them in between and I use spray starch to iron.

If you practice ironing you get better. When I was little my mother had me iron the cloth napkins & pillowcases to practice.

It also helps to purchase shirts that are a blend of cotton & another fabric, like polyester - they don't wrinkle as much.

Using an iron steam the heck out of it (with caution) and use plenty of starch. But, avoid over-starching because then it will feel like cardboard.

It is hard to keep 100% cotton looking good but you should use a combination of steam and starch. My grandma buys liquid starch and adds it to her wash.
