he calls them 'chopper doctors'. Also, he'll also ask, "How you was?" He calls a tiger a tigger. He'll say things like, "Watch your paws", if, for example, you spill something. When we all had a take-away curry for lunch he told us not to put the containers in the outside bin as "It will stink the bin out". Why is he like this?

I think he is very comfortable with who he is - and feels that amongst people he is with he can talk comically - I call washing up liquid - Fairy up liquid an pronounce duvet with the T - the cat is a moggie - spaghetti is sketi - its fun - why should be all talk and be the same - embrace it - also do sausages sogagies - its great to be different.

It sounds like he may have grown up with a much older person around that he admired. Kids tend to pick up the speech habits of the people they are around the most and they are hard to lose even as an adult. He's just an old fashioned sort.

He's just an eccentric person, sounds like you are losing patience with him, I guess he can be annoying but if you want to remain on good terms try to overlook his habits.
