Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day) was May 8, 1945, the date when the Allies during World War II formally celebrated the defeat of Nazi Germany and the end of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich. On that date, massive celebrations took place, notably in London, where over a million people celebrated in a carnival atmosphere.

Apparently, liberals in Congress are planning a Surrender in Iraq Day (S-I Day). Will they celebrate in a likewise carnival atmosphere? Will the Dixie Chicks will provide a free concert for the jubilent liberal masses?

My father, a Viet Nam vet, told me the other day, you pick your wars, there a good wars (WWII) and bad wars (Viet Nam, Iraq).
Leaving Iraq is not considered surrendering, it is a withdrawal from a country we had no right to invade to begin with. The Democrats plan of withdrawing troops gradually makes sense to me.

No.

They will celebrate when they get the last of our soldiers redeployed out of the middle of a violent endless clusterf**k of a civil war.

But not before they have the war-profiteering incompetents responsible behind bars.
