I liked
Jaws
The Quiet Man
LOTR - Return of the King
But - the best would have to be Gone With the Wind. I didn't appreciate it the first few times I saw it, but it has grown on me as I have become older and had an appreciation for the struggle portrayed by the movie.

Probably Sling Blade. I was never a Billy Bob Thornton fan until I saw this movie. It still is shown on HBO occasionally, and I watch it every time I catch it on TV. If you haven't seen it, you need to. I also like Green Mile. Both of these movies are liked by both men and women.

I would say the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, taken collectively. If I have to choose 1, I would say Return of the King; winner of 11 Academy Awards (with no acting awards).
It's a tremendous achievement in film.

There are 2 movies that I always LOVE to watch for the thrill of it all. "Remember the Titans" and "National Treasure". I'm a sucker for scavenger hunts and all so I LOVED watching "National Treasure," that and it didn't hurt that Nicolas Cage was in it too! :-D ;-) "Remember the Titans" because of the conquering race boundaries and working as one team and eventually becoming "brothers." That and there's some good football action too!
