You can buy salt for saltwater aquariums at an aquarium store. For my tank, I used to use one called instant ocean. It also contains other trace minerals that are needed for saltwater creatures. The only problem I see, is that fresh rain is going to get into your garden pond and mess with your salt levels, so you will have to test the levels often, and adjust accordingly.
