an airplane does not have feathers either, yet it flies.
It all has to do with lift, which can be generated in a variety of ways. so long as the bee can generate more lift with his wings than his body weighs, he will fly.
There is a rumor floating around that it should be impossible for bumble bees to fly, but that is not the case.
Lift generated by wings is a complex phenomenon in the insect world. Not near as cut and dried as airplanes. The fact of the matter is that bees generate enough lift with their wings to overcome their body weight.
Hope this helps

You don't need feathers to fly. Airplanes fly, don't they?
Bees fly contrary to most aerodynamic rules. Sheer power applies.

They don't need feathers to fly, they weight virtually nothing and they can displace enough air with their wings to fly.

because they have wings? scientifically it should be impossible for them to fly, but the bees don't know that, so we're not going to tell them.... are we?
