If it were possible at your job to live and work in the same building, would you do it? What do you think would be the advantages or disadvantages of doing this? They do this in Japan but they also work a massive amount of hours.

Hmmm...I would have to say no, I like the separation between the two. Work makes the life I have at home possible and I like having an existence outside of the office.

My brother does, and has, for 22 years. He's the super of an apartment building. He likes it- saves gas and wear and tear on his car. He can go to his apartment for meals or even a nap on his lunch break. His wife likes it too, since they get to spend more time together.

I work from home 25% of the time, and wish it were closer to 75%. I like getting out occasionally, but not as much as I like not commuting 90 minutes each way to work

I am an au pair, so I do. I like it cause I get a free place to live, free food, and can sorta do my own thing alot. I guess it depends on what the job is.
