People seem to think that because we live in a diverse mulit - cultural society, that people are no longer racist. But look at the amount of people who voted for the BNP, in this years local electon. I know that not every white person is racist, but it seems that people are starting to revert back to some the attitudes that people had about immigrants back in the day.
If the BNP was out to help all Britons then why do they say that only 'white Britons' are native Britons. The BNP say that white Britons should be given priority for jobs. That makes everyone else a second class citizen. As long as everyone contributes to society....then what is the problem?????
What do you lot think, serious answers please, to a serious question.

So are people only voting BNP, because they are disgruntled with mainstream parties promises. Is this really a good enough reason.....come on the BNP are not even covertly racist. If the issue was about being proud to be British and making it better for all legal Brit's, then why do ethnic minorities feel in the position not to vote for them....if only to make Britain a better place for all????

i think things are returning to how things were in the 60s. To many Britons, us blacks are just a drain on this society.
The BNP KNOW they are not out to help all Britons, and those that vote for them know that too. If such people were honest, all would admit that they dont really like foreigners, they never have and they never will. Our contributing to society is neither here nor there because we will always be black to them and therefore, unwanted.

I don`t think it`s that people are LESS racist - more the fact that people are not allowed to air their views like they were in the 60`s. I grew up in the 60`s and if you thought it - you said it basically - you`d probably be slung in jail now for some of the stuff you heard in the street then. BUT i must say, in the 60`s you rarely saw a black or asian person - that is a fact. Most of them started coming over in the 60`s. I can remember running home from school and saying to my mother i saw a black man today ! She would say where ? !
Personally i think enoch powell was right and everybody should stay in their own country. He said it would lead to a lot of trouble in the future - and boy was he right ! If we were all meant to live in the same country, god would not have seperated us and made each country and each nation different. That`s my own personal view - which i am entitled to. Well i WOULD HAVE been entitled to it 30 or 40 years ago - now i have to keep it to myself. So hush.......

Maybe people are getting pissed off that the 'great' is being taken out of Great Britain and they don't want to see the UK turned into North Pakistan. I think the BNP has some good points but they have damaged their credibility with blatant examples of racism, as you stated above. I'd vote for the Conservative Party (Tories). If not them then I'd vote BNP because all the other parties are all left wing parties and will do no good for UK.
The left wing parties have done nothing but ensure that Britain becomes flooded with foreigners and taking away the identity of the British people. The Left-wing parties have also ensured that freedom of speech is given solely to the immigrant, non-British peoples. They want to change our laws which have stood for hundreds of years so that we don't offend the damn immigrants. It gets so bad you cannot say Merry Christmas for fear of offending Muslims.
Now I wouldn't normally vote for the BNP. I'd vote Tory. But given the choice between the BNP and some tree-hugging, Muslim kissing, foreigner loving Left wing party, I've got no choice than to vote BNP.

Many people who have voted BNP would never have done so if this government was not so castrated by political correctness that it has actively promoted the rights of ethnic minorities over everyone else.
I would never vote for the BNP because of it's national socialist politics - which in my view are similar to nazism.
But I really despise PC - which is an attack on freedom of thought, speech and expression. I believe in equality for everyone - black, white, male, female and whatever creed, whatever age.
We are being denied this in certain quarters and frightened people who haven't taken the time to understand what is really going on move their political allegiances to the far right - the BNP.
These people are in the minority. Britain is not a racist country and has long benefitted from immigrant integration.
What you are seeing is a knee jerk reaction to political correctness, which does nobody any good and the sooner we can realise it the sooner we can all start living together in true equality.

Voting for the BNP does not mean that people are racist. They are simply sick of the other parties promising to curb immigration and then doing nothing when they get into power.
They are sick of this country being dragged down by immigrants who want to change our laws and at the same time `demanding` benefits for which most of them do not qualify and never will.
They are sick of their freedoms and way of life being curbed by the PC Correct, tree-hugging ar$eholes who use the law of this country to protect the very people who would like to see our way of life destroyed utterly and thoroughly.
Have a nice day :-)

i don't vote for anyone hope it doesn't make me sound racist but when they say white Britons are native originally it was true Britain isn't as bad as the 6Os's a black or Asian person wouldn't have been able to go into a "white pub" for fear of getting beaten up it worked both ways too my dad went into a pub that only black ppl went and was only able to be OK in there because he was with a black friend

yeah Britain is terribly racist, as a white person, I have suffered from terrible racism.
I voted BNP not because Im a racist, but because Im proud to be british and I am sick of not being able to express any sort of national pride without being called a racist. I would love this country to be a fair mixed cultural society it would be brilliant, but when my six year old nephew cant wear an england football shirt to school on a non uniform day because its deemed offensive, then I start to get a little chewed off.
People who voted BNP are not racists, people really are ignorant if they think that

I would say it is far worse- this country will tear itself apart-and it is all down to Muslims- in all areas of England you have places that are no go for White people-this never happened in the 60s-is this a good or a bad thing?
To blame this govt is pointless-if you were on the receiving end of racism everyday of your life you would feel angry and want to kill or maim anyone who wasnt the same colour as you. A poltical party that could unite Black(West Indian and African) ,White(UK indigenous and European) and Indian,Bengali,SRi Lankan people against Pakistani Muslims would have a landslide victory tomorrow- you cannot rationalise with someone who worships a child molester...end of.
