I purchased a domain name. I registered it under a private registration. It is my soon to be ex husband's name and we are in the middle of a very messy divorce. We also have a business together. He wants the domain name to use in his new business. Will I be forced to give it to him? Can I charge him for it?

It's an asset just like a car as far as a divorce proceeding is concerned these days. It'll be between you and the atty's to resolve with a judge as the final say if it comes to that.

If it's acutally "HIS" name, court rulings generally give those domains back to the person named.

You can charge him for it, and dont' even have to sell it to him. However, dont' you think you're being a little trifflin? Hasn't the guy already had a bad enough year without you making him buy a domain from his ex?
