barack obama
1)During his seven years in the Illinois state Senate, Obama worked with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. YES HELPED TO PRODUCE OVER $100 MILLION IN TAX CUTS IN 3 YEARS IN IL.
Obama also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama enlisted the support of law enforcement officials to draft legislation requiring the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.
2) He was urged to run by his constituents and IL state legislative colleagues such as Illinois State Comptroller Dan Hynes
3)I am also tired of all the so called "experienced" ones that have touted their track record. If they were so experienced, they all should have had the balls to stand up and say no when Bush decided to take us to war in Iraq when that country had nothing to do with the attack on this country. Barack Obama has supported the war in Afghanistan BUT has from the very start said that invading Iraq would be a mistake
4) Since he has been in the Senate, he has not sat on his laurels. He has been bipartisan and has sponsored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427

I can't do the Hillary thing. She is still extremely polarizing and I think since her husband's numbers are up, she has been getting the 'feel good' effect from it. It would be nice to have a female president ( hell men have messed it up quite a bit, let a woman have a chance) but just not her

Of the Democrats who are running for the nomination, Kucinich, Gravel and Richardson are the most honest. Cynthia McKinney is the best of all the Democrats, but regrettably she isn't running.

I don't know which of Kucinich, Gravel and Richardson I'll vote for in the primary. If all three run in the primary they'll split the progressive vote.

They should agree that only one of them will run.

Mike Gravel

I had never heard of him until the other day but saw an interview with him of TV and said finally a candidate I can get excited about. Yes he does not have the hype and popularity of the two front runners but he has the wisdom and experience that this country needs to lead us forward.

Dennis Kucinich, he may seem like the extreme peace guy and under different circumstances I might lean toward Gore, but we really need some one who can take us out of this chaotic war and failing economy.

most likely Dennis Kucinich. He seems the most sane and intelligent of the candidates. Also, he seems the most sincere and most likely to get us out of the current mess in the safest possible way, by building bridges instead of burninng them.

Kucinich of course. why?...well, he's smarter than obama and sticks to his principles. He sure owned obama in the debates the other night.
