I am going to buy the NFL jersey of my favorite college football player and I noticed that they aren't on sale besides the first round draft picks, whose numbers are "1" because they were drafted in the first round. I am just wondering when the rookies get their jersey numbers for the regular season. Is this soon or during mini-camp, etc.? Thanks

They'll get a number once the full training camp starts (usually mid July) but those won't be official numbers until the last cut (mid August). Some of the highly touted rookies may get their college numbers, depends on who already has it and if it falls within league rules for numbers by position.

Some players already have them. I've seen that Andy Alleman from The University of Akron who was drafted by the Saints has jersey #65 assigned to him. I suppose most teams have begun to assign numbers.
