I own a restaraunt with a partner we each own 50% of the busienss. I am considered the active partner my name is on liquor lic paychecks ect. We are having disputes regurading the best interest of the est. Does being the "active partner" entitle me to a greater say than my partner?

depends on your state, BUT if you are on the license, I would say YES. My situation was the same , yet I only owned 25%, my partners tried to get greedy and vote me out (legal in NC) so I threatend to put liquor licenses and insurance, and sol. If you are the active partner It only makes sence to have a better in tune working knowledge

If it's a 50/50 partnership then you just have to get along with each other or try to buy the other one out. Very few partnerships last,,, good luck with yours.
