If you haven't gotten it yet have your mother take you to the gyno. If you can't make that happen go see your pediatrician and tell them what is happening.
If some one hasn't started there period by age 16 but has breasts and pubic hair they need to be evaluated. Also people have gotten pregnant with out ever having a period. You are fertile before you get your period.
Bottomline: Go to the doctor and have them find out why you haven't started menstruating yet

I would ask a doctor if i were you, 17 is VERY late to get a period. But do you run a lot? Sometimes people who run a lot and don't eat enough, will burn too many calories and the body is too tired to have a period...Thats all I really know though.

17 is a sort of late for not having periods.
If you are a very sportive type and do strenuous exercise, this can delay the appearance of your menarche.
If you are very under or overweight, it can be a sign that your hormones are not balanced.
Best is that you see a Dr. They will not think bad of you: your concerns are perfectly legitimate.

You need to go to the dr to see what could be causing you to not have a period. The dr will help you try to figure out what is causing this.

Have you checked with your doctor? I knew a lady who was 38 and she had never had a period. There wasn't anything wrong with her. Sometimes the doctor can give a medication to get you started if that's what you need.

If you are worried see your doctor for reassurance- but i can assure you its perfectly natural- HONEST!!

its normal. some females get their periods after 18. nothing abnormal in it.
it may be as early as 09 or as late as 21. Just check out with your doctor if everything is normal with your body.
idont see any problem

honey, please do not feel bad about that. i was 18 years of age before i finally started my period and i, too was totally scared out of my mind. but just remember that everyone is different and after you do finally start then you will wish that you never had to begin with.......because it is a bit*h.....i hated the way it made me feel.....i was crabby and my vagina felt like it was going to fall out from between my legs. so, please just enjoy the fact that you are still not flowing yet. you are still young, yet. and have plenty of time to be on your period.
