For a sign to hang over your company's door, use a wood burning tool. But if you are going to do a lot of pieces of wood, I'd have a rubber stamp made to make your work easy. The rubber stamp people can make the stamp look like someone used a wood burning tool, and you could use a brown/black ink to further it's authentic look, if that pleases you. There are also lots of sign makers that can carve a sign for you.

Yes. Get your engraver to make [carve] your company logo into a metal stamp - get stamping. Not as difficult as you might think.
Watching the 400th anniversary of the founding of the first English colony in America, Jamestown. Someone found a small metal square item, on which were stamped the words "YAMES TOWNE". Nice try. Tells you that even then things got stamped.
Company assets etc should all be stamped.

The apostle Paul states that the natural order of things is for men to have short hair and women to have long hair, yet tradition has it that Jesus and the apostles had long hair. of course everything is relative, maybe men had long hair by today's standards but really more like medium length, and then females might have had very long hair.

Your could burn it in, I not sure what the process is called. But you will need to get a template of your design made-up first.
