1/19 + 1/18.5

= (1 x 18.5) / (19 x 18.5) + (1 x 19) / (18.5 x 19)

= 18.5 / 351.5 + 19 / 351.5

= (18 + 19) / 351.5

= 37.5 / 351.5

= 375 / 3515 (remove the decimal points by multiplying both the numerator and the denominator by 10)

= 75 / 703 (when both the numerator and the denominator are divided by 5)

So, the final equation is --> 1/19 + 1/18.5 = 75/703

1/19 + 10/185
= 1/19 + 2/37

= (37 + 38)/(19 x 37)
= 75/703

1/19+1/18.5= 0.052631578 + 0.054054054
= 0.106685633

Or you could do it as follows:

1/19+1/18.5= (18.5 + 19) / (19 x 18.5)
= 37.5/351.5
= 375/3515
= 75/703

Hope this helps

1 / 19 + 1 / 18.5

1 / 19 + 1 / (18 / 1 / 2 )

1 / 19 + 1 / (37 / 2 )

1 / 19 + 2 / 37

(37 + 38) / 703

75 / 703

0.369874125 - but you'd better confirm that using your own mathematical skills...

Actually I just made it up.

It's the same answer I give when someone asks what 1+2+3 is.

Or 'what's half a dozen?'.

Or I have 3 cows and 7 Llamas. How much is that in eggs?

Ho hum.
