And why do they say "put some heat on it" when they cook on the stove. And like, why do they come into a restaraunt, order tea with ice and get mad when it doesn't have any sugar in it? Come on, who expects sugar already in their freaking tea? It's like, on the freaking table if you want it. Plus they complain about the prices of everything, like at Starbucks, they make comments like "For plain COFFEE? I remember when..."

Where in this world are you from?? In Alabama... "worsh" is just our Southern drawl.... "put some heat on it" just another Southern thing... and we always make two separate jugs of tea... one with sugar... and one without. I guess it just all depends on where you're from.

I thought my grandma was the only one that said 'worsh' haha she also said 'torlit' instead of toilet. I guess just the way they used to talk! Wait until we are old and the young people will be saying the same thing about us.

REMEMBER THINGS WERE A LOT DIFFERENT .THEN. MONEY WAS DIFFERENT, COSTS WERE DIFFERENT AND TIMES WERE TOUGH ESPECIALLY DURING THE DEPRESSION.. WASHING WAS DONE USING A LARGE WASH TUB WITH A RIBBED WASH BOARD IN THE WATER AND PEOPLE SCRUBBED BY HAND. PEOPLE VALUED WHAT THEY HAD THEN AND SPOKE DIFFERENTLY AND WASTED NOTHING. MY DAD USED TO SAY " I USED TO GET TWO OF WHATEVER FOR A QUARTER " AND MY MOTHER SAID YES BUT NOONE HAD A QUARTER TO GET TWO OF THEM " BE PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING .
