Go 2 network connection in control panel, open the current connection ur using n it should show u the speed ur broadband is running at. hope this is right..

Most easyiest of all is www.speedtest.net
Well if you have a router then you can check out on the router
or
go to microsoft.com/downloads and start downloading some huge file, check out the speed while it is downloading (xxx kbps)
