I am currently in Australia, but also been in the states before. I just recently found out a sport called netball. How come I've never heard of it in America?

As a child I broke my finger playing netball. I was a tough little kid and never had it seen to either, so it's swollen on one side to this day. The fact that it was broken was only picked up ten years later during an xray for something else (wrist actually), but I remember the day it happened as clear as can be.

Probably because basket ball is so popular in the US. It can't compete. Not to mention, where would we play it? Our parks, schools, colleges and university's are all set up for basketball or racket ball. Awesome question!
