In fact cable is the fastest because it do not use telephone lines while other providers use telephone lines no matter which provider you use.

Cable is the fastest. Now a days in Japan we got Fibre which is also faster like Bullet Train.

Cable IS a type of broadband. However, Verizon supplies DSL which is much slower than cable internet.
