there was WAAY too much love story.. a cheesy tribute to Saturday Night Fever..
the action jumps around in no real order... theirs no real story... the jokes are old... it looks and feels like a big screen cartoon... (and i LOVED the first two movies... i am sooo bummed!)

It is obvious that none of the posters have seen the movie, or understand the complexities of the comic series.

No- it is not the non stop action of SM2. Yes, it gets a bit cheesy for cute comic relief. Yes, I would have loved to see more of venom.

But it is a good flick. Is it worth seeing twice? Maybe I will wait for the video.

SM3 suffered the same problem X-Men 3 had, which was they overstuffed too many characters and plotlines. I liked the resolution of the story arc between Peter, MJ, and Harry. The Sandman pieces worked, too, but I really didn't like how the black costume/Venom arc was handled (don't even get me started on the dance number!). That alone could have been SP3, or they could have saved it for the next one. Instead, it got jumbled in everything else and became the weakest part of the movie. SP3 was the weakest in the series, overall, but it was still fun--my opinion.

It's a good movie. Just my opinion. I can have realistic expectations about the quality of movies. That way, i can also be realistic in my expectations of what happens in my life.... to see it in a big picture. By doing so, i need not be too picky about things to enjoy life. The movie, special effects-wise, is awesome and that counts a lot. Some scenes may be cheesy but i won't allow that to dampen the movie's overall quality. Like the other spidey movies before it, it's worth the money

TOO MANY CHARACTERS!!!!

a decent Venom plotline would have made the movie about 3 1/2 hours long.
couldnt happen.

as far as comic book movies: LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS....hollywood producers are trying to cram DECADES of stories and characters together while also pleasing ppl who have never picked up a spidey comic a day in their life (hence the gushy stuff and the comedy).

i do agree that spiderman comes off lookin like roger rabbit sometimes in that he looks like a cartoon while the rest of the scene looks real. i guess they still havent worked out the kinks.

I gotta see it! But I know it won't reach my expectations if I expect too much, so I'll just see it as it is.
