What a total farce this was. In my local elections, we could vote for a maximum of 3 people froma list of only 5, and 3 of those were tories. The other 2 were an independent and a Lib Dem.

This is not what I'd call a democracy - there was no representation from Labour, the greens, no-one.

I think this country sucks now. The mainstream political parties have no idea about the real world.

Oh well. Yet another example of why this country is just referred to as Britain, and not Great Britain anymore.

This sounds like a disgrace. It sounds like Democracy in Dictatorship form. Please send me a private message of who you would've voted for if anybody from other parties were standing please. I'm quite sure wouldn't have wanted to vote for Labour due to their poor running of the country but I don't know you so maybe you would've. If I were you I would've voted Lib Dem, the more decent out of the candidates it seems.

I agree, we could vote for 4 of 6 on one voting sheet and 2 of 4 on the other, of these 2 were lib dem and the others independent - no torie, labour or green. Not much choice, the independents were all very keen to promote the fact they want more for cornwall and cornish rights ect (so I have a feeling they might have done well) - all parties are the same though, full of big promises which if they do follow through end up costing us a fortune!

We had 2 from Labour and 2 from the Tories in our area - guess the other parties just couldn't be bothered!
