So me and my BF have been together for 9 months. What are the possibilities of us staying together? We always talk about it now, I mean us being together forever. I really love him..and he says he "More than loves me" but, I just wanted to know if any guys around this age said anything like that and ended up not being with that person forever. I believe him..because he seems really serious about it (even though hes a typical skater and class clown). I just wanted to have an opinion on how our relationship is and if any guys have ever said something like this to a girl when he was around the age of 16. (oh and by the way...we havent had sex or anything. we talked about it but he came out saying that he loves me for "who I am and not sex")

Yes, he really means it. But you are both in the growing & changing & learning period of relationships, so what is true today more than likely will NOT be true 6 months, a year, two years from now. By the time most people are in their mid to late 20's, they are more stable & educated in what they are looking for and wanting in their lives. Then when they say they love you, it is more likely to last longer.

Though he may believe hes sincere, at 16, he doesnt know everything. In fact, no matter what age you are, you never know everything. So, just live in the moment, prepare for the future and try not to worry about tomorrow. And by the way, at 16, sex is far more important to any guy no matter what they say. But this doesnt mean he doesnt love you. The male desire to get laid is always predominant at this time.

Stephanie, at 16 I told Laurie I loved her and wanted to be with her forever. She said the same to me. She was also 16. By the time we were 18 we were in different schools and had different partners. Incidentally, I probably had another half-dozen or so "partners" before I finally got married. And I got married at 28. However, I have a good friend with whom Laurie and I double-dated back in those days when we were all 16...and they're still married (we're now in our 70s). So, life's a gamble, at any age. Good luck.

I have told girls that many many times and I dont think I even knew what it was. Young love is wonderful and there are many couples that make it from time to time but you really have to work on your relationship. It takes two to tangle and when you tangle watch each others steps.

No, at 16 he doesn't have a darn CLUE as to what he is talking about. Sorry. However, it does sound like he cares deeply for you. Thats good.
