need some advise . If you looked after your great grandmother with no financial or emotional support from other family members (they dont even visit only when invited to kids or her birthday) and you find out that the other family members got a copy of her will from the banks without her knowing and telling everyone that " we are getting everything" and trying to force her to change the will what will you do as it was her own choice. The grandson that got a copy hasnt seen visited or phoned her in almost a year (She does not even know what his second kid looks like) Not even her own daughter in law stood with us when this happend (as her own kids have all passed away) what will you do if something like this happend

The legal issues likely will differ depending on what state she lives in, and where her current and previous wills were made.

Aging can raise issues which may require a medical certificate declaring she was and is capable of making a reasonable and informed decision to amend her will.

Many wills and court judgements consider whether a will was made when of sound mind, then altered later when not.

Consider what happens if no will ? Rule of thumb is any variations to this need be very clear.

Relatives with similar experience, watching will contested in court and being overturned... end of day only real winners were the lawyers they get their money first.
