i really love dancing! this is what i truly like..dancng is my passion..i'd rather to dance than to have a boyfriend..i already build a career on it..for just 2 months ago, i was dancing at different concerts, tv commercials, tv station, half-time/time-out at basktball, events, and a choreographer etc..but because i just graduated a month ago and hired for a new job 2 wks ago, i am now here at the office, doing paper works and facing the computer..i should not take this job, but after our graduation, i realized that i have to establish a career that suits to what i have earned in college..and i have to be realistic, knowing that dancing is not for a permanent career, i should have a career that assures my future but then, this past few days, i always caught myself imagining the danzflr, the beat of the music, lights&effects, appreciation from audiences, everything..everything..i truly miss it..i miss the intensity that dancing brought to me..now, i felt like i lost reasons to be happy

why can't you dance? if you are actually earning a living at it, who says it's not a real career.
i agree with the first poster, dance until you are older, and then open a school and teach.

Who is that person Suggested you that 'Dancing Has no career in future ?'
You can build your future in the way you like it, but the thing is you have to work hard. You see what i suggest if you are still liking the dance, then go ahead, leave the job, you can settle or find job even after so many years of your graduation, but you can't be good dancer, if you left it right now.
You know the moral, Practice makes man perfect. If you don't practice daily, then automatically you will loose your talent.
Take jackson, jennifier as an examples, they are still in the dancing career only.
Doing a job after graduation is common.
Every graduate can be a job holder, but every job holder will not be a Dancer.
Show some difference in you from others.
Be a performer and not an audience.

You may not be able to go the length of time a "usual" career would be, but don't limit the possibilities of what you really can do. Lack of faith in yourself will kill any career faster and deader that being hit by a train. Los Vegas is one place where you can have a long career as a dancer. Also in Hollywood, where many employers know that even their best employees may be rushing to an audition on any given day; and also in New York. Los Vegas will have the most consistent work. Perhaps Atlantic City would use dancers as well, though you will have to check that out.
How many dancers resolve the work-career-they-love-college-major conflict is to work as a temp between dancing jobs. You DO NOT have to do what you got your degree in. In fact, most people change complete careers 6 times in their lifetimes. Don't strap yourself into that! You will always live with regret if you do, and then become self-destructive. BE what you want to be, seize the day,
CONCEIVE...
BELIEVE...
ACHIEVE!

If you like dancing so much why don't you make a career out of that? Have you ever considered opening a dance school? There you would get to teach and show others why you love it so much. Maybe start a company and specialize in dancing at half time shows etc.. just some thoughts.

Girl u got time, you will just have to adjust it around your schedule like for nights and weekends.. Im not sure if u can make it a career it probably has to be a part time but you will have to be limited now.. i know it sux and i have a bf too im trying to get him to take salsa with me so we can dance when we go out.. i say keep pursuing it im not gonna stop dancing, its my life, my passion i love to move my bosy and its the reason im here. definitely dance cheri. to dance is to truly be in the non-being. I lost my chance to do it as a living when I got sick as a child but even years later that training serves me, I knocked down a 3rd degree Tae Kwan Do master with a roundhouse kick during a mock battle, luckily his skull is as hard as mine and he didn't get a concussion when he hit the pavement.
Many people have more than one career in a lifetime, just do it sister and be willing to suffer for your art, you may fail but if you do not try you will always regret what could have been.

It sounds like dance truly is your passion. Only you can decide whether or not you made the right decision but remember, you only go thru life once. Do what makes you happy and feel good about yourself and everything else will fall into place.

life is purely too short to be depressing. bypass after your dream yet do it wisely...verify you've something on the area to fall lower back on in case you fail in the starting up. For desires alongside with yours you should fail some circumstances earlier making it huge. have self belief in your self, keep up some money and bypass for it. good luck with regardless of you pick.
