I think it depends on 1. How old the child is (I think a 4 year old can pee on their own). 2. If the child is going to see any grown man pee-pees in the journey (I'm a female that is unfamiliar with urinal etiquette).

My advice.. scoop up the little girl, cover her eyes, dash into the mens bathroom, lock the stall door, do the business and exit the same way as you entered.

A lot of places also have "family bathrooms" that are private rooms where a Dad can handle the duties of fatherhood.

And I would NEVER send my little girl in the bathroom with a stranger. There are tons of sickos in the world, and if the little girl can't pee on her own who's to say that she won't be violated in the process. Please don't do that.

Wow! A hard one. I think he should have let the little girl go into the women's alone but stayed outside that door and listened. Or maybe he could have asked some woman as she was going into the women's bathroom that looked innocent enough. I have stood outside of the men's bathrooms while my grandsons have gone into the men's rooms because they had reached a point where they refused to allow me to drag them with me into the women's room. It wouldn't be bad to take the little girl into the men's room if there weren't urinals along the walls and the men standing there with everything hanging out.

This was a major concern of mine being I have 3 girls and I did not want my girls going into a man's bathroom, and my husband wouldn't feel comfortable going into a woman's bathroom, so I always would go along, now 2 of them are old enough to go themselves 7 & 5 so he can just stand outside the womans bathroom and wait for them. I think I would rather have the man take the girl back home to go or find the nearest unisex 1 stall type bathroom at a gas station, or hospital where he could go in with her.

It depends on her age. Under 5... take her in and cover her eyes until they get into a stall. Over 5... let her go in the ladies bathroom alone, but wait by the door. A guy could ask a woman to take his daughter in, but I don't know that a woman could do the same.

My dad had to take me to the ladies' restroom. I was about 3 or 4 and my mom was at work. He had to ask permission from the ladies' inside and after I was done he apologised again. He told me the ladies in there were understanding and they didn't mind at all. I don't think it's comfortable and appropriate to let your young daughter pee in a room full of men.

I would say the men's room. They keep them with them, and then take them into a stall, and let them do their business. A lot of people that I know the mothers takes their children to the restroom with them, while the father waits outside.

My husband takes them to the Ladies room. He makes an anouncment " I Have a girl" and stands by the door. They do what they need to and if something goes wrong there is always a nice woman to help her. You can't bring your girl into a men's washroom.

most large stores have a family bathroom in the back for just such a problem, but he should've just went into the mens room with her (making sure of course it was unoccupied) he could've been arrested had a woman walked in while he was in the ladies, otherwise he could've asked a female associate or manager to accompany the child.

normally the father will ask a lady thats going in there if she wouldnt mind taking his daughter to the rest room or he should wait until there are no women in the rest room.
