I'm going to stick with the Warriors. Nellie will be able to get into Nash's head and beat the Suns at their own game (which was Nelson's idea first). Assuming Suns get past the Spurs, Steve Nash will have a horrible series against Baron Davis. Davis will do anything he wants in the series because of Nash's nonexistent defense which will slow down the Suns' running game.

Another factor? The Warriors don't give a ****. The Suns have to win now or face the issue of parting with Marion or Stoudemire because they are dangerously close to the cap.

Please weigh in with constructive responses and not with crap like "Go Suns! F the Warriors!".

Im rooting for this series to happen. It will be very, veryy exciting and great for all of us basketball fans.

Id take Phoenix over Golden State, why?

Im pretty sure raja bell or barbosa (even marion) will be guarding davis in the series and nash can either take on ellis or barnes. Davis is great but he wont be able to dominate that much.

i disagree that nelson will get into nash head.. nash is such a class act and wont fall into that. even nellie acknowledged that nash is one of the best players he ever coached so there is mutual respect involved.

plus, im not sure if anybody from warriors can match up with amare. he will dominate this series.

so now, all you guys have to root for both teams to win their 2nd round matchup so we fans can have something we deserve: A West Finals Classic

I love the Warriors, I'm from the Bay Area and as far as I am concerned tonight was one of the best games I have ever seen.
In spite of that, I find it very unlikely that they would be able to beat the suns because
a)Both Davis and Barnes are injured
and
b)As light as the Suns Bench is they will most likely be playing a larger rotation than the warriors and that means foul trouble. Add to this that Barbosa is the best sixth man in the league.
Still, who would have thought the Warriors would beat Dallas?

You make some interesting points, but I don't think the Warriors have an answer for Barbosa. he is awfully fast. I also think Nash is the best at passing that ball to the right place at the right time. Bottom line....If we can conquer the giant known as the Spurs, we will have at very least a good shot against the Warriors. Neither team has a championship. Neither team is satisfied. Both are hungry. It will simply come down to who wants it more and who plays with more heart. jason

I am a Warriors fan but I think the Suns would win. I've got to go with the numbers even though the Warriors beat the Mavs. I hope you're right and I'm wrong, but I just don't see the Warriors going all the way.

I want the warriors to go all the way but phoenix will not make it past the spurs. Im out on a limb saying that. but IF the miracle happens and the suns do beat the spurs. then i say the warriors would win. the warriors are a street team. they'll talk trash and get into players' heads like they did to dallas or like lebron did to agent zero last season in the playoffs. also phoenix doesn't know what defense is, warriors do. but the one thing that the warriors have going in their favor right now above all teams is that they play as if they have nothing to lose so they're the most willing to put it all out there night in night out. we are...the mighty mighty warriors!! also to those who say "oh the warriors finshed 8th and blah blah blah". it's not about how you start but how you finish! like the warriors finished off the mavericks!

I would take the Suns all the way. I am a Mavs fan and I watched how GSW won tonight, but...the Suns are a much better well rounded squad (if they make it past San Antonio). This will only happen if GSW beat the team in the next round. And I guessed that GSW would have beat Dallas, because the couch hand picked the entire squad, so they had an advantage. The Suns will beat GSW if it gets to that point.

The Suns, both teams play a similar type of game, but the Suns do it better. I also don't think the Warriors can keep hitting those 3s as efficiently as they have.

I think Warriors might have betther chance of reaching WCF than the Suns, Suns face a tougher team. IF Suns get past 2nd round, and IF W's do without injuries (unlikely, we are already banged up) I like our chances. I am hoping for Suns to win b/c we have MUCH better chance against them than Spurs. People say Suns do it better then W's on run and gun, but I think we have better d, very underrated. So I like our chances...

The Suns, hands down. They can run with the Warriors, and are the better team.

You are talking about their next matchup in the regular season of '07-'08, right?

But to answer your question I'll say the Suns. It depends what roster moves both teams make during the off-season.

I'm not the assuming type so no way do I believe they get past the Spurs.
