Rain starts at around June 10 in Mumbai and goes on. Before the monsoons they are pre-moonsoon showers or mango showers in march/april/may. It rains in places like Bangalore, Chennai even in November & December. In England it rains 12 months. In Cherapunji, Meghalaya there is the most dense rain and the best rainfall in INdia.

There's actually a very famous science fiction story with this as the central theme. A guy discovered when he was young that he possessed the power to stop rainstorms by reciting this line. So he does this over and over, and then one day years later a storm starts and never seems to stop, and the guy realizes that all of those rainy days *did* go away--but now the "another day" had come at last........
