the fact that you could die any minute and your life would be over just like that, gone.
how does one deal with these type of thoughts? there's not enough time.

I fund it exciting! Living your life to the ultimate makes life more meaningful.

I think it's that question that inspires people to go to Religion, among other things. That's how millions of people cope, they find a faith which gives them comfort so life doesn't just 'cease' but changes.

A friend of mine had an excellent point: if there is an afterlife or not doesn't really matter while you live; you can't know for absolutely certain until you die and then you are gonna find out regardless.

My own death doesn't bother me, I'm not afraid of death, but I don't go playing in traffic either.

Just live the best life you can, if you dwell on death you'll never live life. Don't worry about what you can't control, it's a waste of time. Enjoy every minute of every day, look around you and see the good, blue skies, green grass, clear waters, flowers, birds, etc. See the beauty in life not the darkness of death.

There's a song I'm not sure of the title or who sings it, here are some of the words.

I'm going to live till I die, and laugh till I cry.

TO LIFE!

hmmm...i can completely relate to you. at a point of time i thought there is no point in living because i am going to die anyway what if the day is tomorrow...what if the time is right now. i had a very bad time then.
the only solution is to be with people,children...working in social groups..just be with people. life is so wonderful when it lived with full dedication. death is inevitable. but life can be stretched inside a small circle of time. you can stretch your life by 20 yrs by living two yrs of your life in happiness and dedication.
just replace the "death" thoughts to thoughts which say that the day you will die...you will not have any regrets that "i couldn't live my life properly"

take care and enjoy!
:)

Of course it bother's you, it bother's most of us.....but it's hard to live when all's you think about is death,...... so we deal with it and live with it in the back of our head's ..... "yes one day we will die" but today were alive and were living. I know i was a grave digger for years and was surrounded by death......and yes theres not enough time on this earth.......but this earth is short lived and it's just the start to a much longer journey. "your life as you know it now will be over but you will not be".

It bothers me, but then there will NEVER be enough time. The only way I know to deal with it is to live well as much of the time as possible.

it bothers me more the way i will die than just the fact of dying. it will bother me to think that i would die cuz of another human beeings action, such as if i got shot by somone, got killed, ran me over, or just any number of things. but i think thoughts like this shouldnt cross our minds, cuz were all going to be gonners someday, just cherish everyday, and really really try not to let little things bother you. =) smile

I don't reject these thoughts, I think deeper into them to see if I can possibly think of a great answer. It's great to think about death because you gain new ideas on life in general. And when you die think of all the time you'll have to think about it.

I believe in reincarnation and that we carry what we are at the core of ourselves with us, so dieing does not bother me. I just live to create the best of me to take with me for the next life.

Sometimes it does (that's generally when I walk around telling people I love them, destroying evidence, and trying to forget about the little things that really mean nothing) and sometimes it just doesn't.
