If illegals are a $200-$400 billion dollar drain on our economy each year, we should deport them now! We'd probably end up with a large surplus without those leeches around, and we could use that money to payoff the deficit!

If you were actually able to deport them all (which is impossible) it would cost millions and millions of dollars itself, not to mention make EVERYTHING YOU BUY MORE EXPENSIVE.
Don't think so? Yes, everything will be more expensive, from food to any services you recieve. How do you replace over 10 million low-skilled jobs at minimum wage or lower.... Are you lining up with the hundreds of thousands of Americans wanting to replace one of them picking strawberries? Or maybe you want that great job making beds at the Motel 6? How about that McDonald's career?
If we deport all the illegals, it will do our economy more harm than good. The REAL thing to do is get them documented and into the system so they can pay more TAXES.
End any future illegal immigration, but deportation of the ones already here is not the answer. They have to take the citizenship exam and pay taxes like everyone else, including taxing heavily any money they try to send back to their home country.

I don't know but if a person is willing to crawl underground and hike across a desert knowing they could die the whole time, just so they can get a chance to work at a construction site or McDonald's and send the money back to their families, I really don't give a damn if there illegal of not.
These people go through alot to get to the US, and once they get here all they get is BS.
An American doesn't understand a person trying to feed there family though, I guess Americans aren't human, in our eyes needy immigrants aren't human there "illegals". Some of us seriously need to look at ourselves in the mirror once in a while.

There are a "guestimated" 12 MILLION + illegals in this country...- Have you any IDEA how much it would COST to find them, round them up- & transport them over the Border??? We wouldn't have an Economy LEFT if we tried a stunt like that!! Hate to tell you this; but most of those people are STAYING; because NO politician in his (or her) right mind- would think of deporting THAT many people. It ain't gonna happen... -So deal with it.

The illegals are ruining the USA. Out with them. No amnesty.
My mother ad father had to wait over two years to get into the USA at a time when immigration was easier than now. They immediately began to speak English and became American citizens within a year. My father changed his name to make it more Americanized. Why isn't this good enough for the Chicanos who steal into America? Our existing Congress is a bunch of talkers but not doers and al of them should be pushed out of power in 08.

It doesn't work that way. IF we actually send Illegal immigrants out , it would temporarily stall our economy. It would actually increase individual salaries though. If you want to eliminate illegal immigrants, and help our economy, it would require raids to thin the population. A slower method would help companies adjust to the lose of employees.

Or we could recognize them as future American citizens and pay for our deficit by ending our silly war in Iraq.

I say, have them build a wall 10 ft. high on our southern boarder, then deport them.
