this is gonna sound wierd, but I think he wants to watch the snooker - I keep telling him it doesnt start till 1:30

Well I guess you can't reproduce with it, and I don't think he wants to die so maybe you can be a companion.

He might be looking for a cat box , or he may have left you, your dinner somewhere you least expect it. Look out for those live critters, or half eaten ones.

More food. More water. To talk. To be held. To check his e-mail... who knows. My cat does that when he wants more food or is hinting for his cat treats.
