To tan your side put your arms above your head, definitley tan with the bed closed, you get more UV that way. A great tanning lotion that I have used for almost two years is called "Spellbound" by Designer Skin, its a quadruple darkening lotion, if you buy this lotion at the tanning salon it costs about $75, but if you buy it from amazon.com, you will only spend $35. Good luck, if you have any more ?'s feel free to email me!

I go to the stand up ever so often to even out my tan. This usually helps with all the lines and white places. The best lotion to buy are the ones at the tanning salon. They can help you chose a lotion that is a step up from the ones you are using now. Maybe you need more bronzers and things. Good Luck!

When I tanned, I usually laid on my back and stomach for equal amounts of time. This usually got my coloring even.

As for the tanning lotion, don't buy the really cheap stuff. It's gives you uneven color. But, do make sure the tanning bed is CLOSED. No reason to leave it open. :)

try laying with your arms in different positions, like above your head, & also remember to flip over halfway thru your time...make sure your facial tanner is turned on as well (this might seem silly, but a lot of people don`t know about it, or forget to do it!)...u might want to try one of the tingle lotions...these are formulated to increase your blood circulation for optimal tanning...but only use these if u have a good base tan & if u don`t have sensitive skin...they are not for newbie tanners!!! they are extremely powerful, & cause a reddening & heating action to your skin, the intensity of which will depend on the strength of the tingle...i recommend "hot tottie" by pro tan...good luck & happy tanning!!!

You know.....those tanning beds may work now, but you have a 50% even more% chance or getting cancer from them. Why aren't you happy with you're original skin color? Be happy with what you have! :)
