Please tell me why is it that every year Americans spends $8 billion on cosmetics and the Europeans $50 billion on cigarettes, yet the world cannot find the $9 billion that the UN estimates is needed annually to provide all people with access to clean drinking water and sanitation?

The same reason you and I went out to eat instead of making something cheap at home and sending the difference in the money to charity.

Everyone is being self centered and only care about our own indulgences. I agree we need to help more, but I aways here people complain when our money is given to other countries to help support the poor.
