I'm completely non-religious, it has nothing to do with that. I feel like I'm sort of like that guy from 40-year old virgin... I had a girlfriend once, but she wanted to wait and I didn't pressure her. I don't think I'm bad looking or anything like that, just sort of shy maybe. people usually think I'm really funny and interesting when they know me though...

so basically what I'm wondering is how big a deal is this? I mean, do girls consider that a negative? And what should I do differently?

Of course not. March to your own drum and don't let society or peers pressurise you. It's your life.

Not a problem. It is a physical act . This sounds corny but better with the one you love. Now if you said you had not gone to the bathroom yet, that is serious.

This really isn't anyone's business. It certainly isn't a big deal. My son has only had a few dates with 2 different girls and he is 29. Good looking successful, has his own home, but I don't think this is a problem. He is somewhat quiet and into things financial . He will be in a relationship when it is his time.

Things are different nowadays. ( Sounds like what Grandparents say) People marry later. It was very common to be married at 19 when I was growing up. Unless you're uncomfortable with this situation, you needn't do anything. I wish you the luck in love that I had. Still married to the old broad after 33 years. ( Naturally I am a young and virile studly man)

Same situation here. If you go through some of my past questions, you'll find that I've asked this a lot. Seems like 20% of women consider it a plus, 20% a minus and the remaining don't care either way. That being said, a guy who isn't a virgin will naturally be more confident and that attracts women. I found a nice article on this topic here:

http://www.succeedsocially.com/virgin

And this statement stood out:

"Yes, the monkey and stigma is gone but now instead of being, say, a 22-year old who's never had sex, you're a 22-year old who's had sex once. You still have a ways to go. "

If you're not a sex addict, then the kind of girls you're looking for are the same kind that are looking for you. Better not spoil it. Keep your strengths, don't question them just because others don't share them. I know that there are many, many men who wish they could get back the strength they threw away for the sake of pleasure and popularity -- empty rewards.

Self-control is a very rare and valuable commodity.

Good for you!! It's only a big deal to those who like to brag about it & make people like you feel like it's a problem!

Wait for the right person to come along! Sex is not all that, you'll find that out when you're older!

It's not even close to a problem, because a lot of people share and practice it. It's always been one of the normals.

why would that be a problem? I'm your age and also a virgin (and a hot one at that). I don't let people tell me how to live my life.

No. Its not a problem. Unless you have the mind of a 15 year old moron. Don't worry, its not a problem at all.
