No, I wouldn't believe them. You don't get cancer from believing you can, you get it from everything. Also, I'd poop in there cereal because I don't smoke. Why would they tell me this?

I quit smoking five years ago. I am pretty sure I know the damage that smoking did you my lungs and respitory system. I was wheezing and could barely walk a block up a hill without huffing and puffing...and I have never smoked more than 25 cigarettes in a day. When I got colds, even the slightest sniffle, it would turn into bronchitis, and I'd be laid up for weeks at a time, and I had a bad smokers cough (not too attractive really). I know many people who smoked at one time in their lives and they all have emphazema, and have oxygen tubes up their noses. I am pretty sure that they would love to hear your lame theory. By all means smoke if you want....but don't start playing little games thinking you can outsmart a disease that is real.

If smoking caused cancer, everyone who smoked would have cancer. Since not everyone that smokes does, it would seem logical that the people who believe that, or fear that, are the ones who are most prone to creating the reality of manifesting cancer. It might be interesting to observe many people create (I say create because you cannot "catch" )cancer without smoking or engaging in any of the so-called cancer producing activities.

Smoking can cause cancer to you and also to anyone around you due to second-hand smoking.

Smoking can cause lung cancer, mouth infection, gum problems, and can lead to other more serious issues .... and it is expensive (hurts your pocket). There are lots of real medical evidence and pictures ... not nice.

Believing it does not harm you is like an ostrict with its head buried in the sand.

NO. It is not a valid argument if U consider that people who generally smoke do not smoke believing it will harm them. If anything, they deny that smoking will harm them for the most part.
Yet, I've seen many damaged lungs, deaths and other negative outcomes from smoking from smokers who believed it would not harm them...not them, someone else maybe.

My smoking went beyond addiction. I used to smoke even without being aware of it. I have caught myself lighting a cigarette with one already dangling from my lips.

It certainly hurt in many ways.

Cancer, cardiac problems.. whatever else. The worst hurt was that a habit like that had completely enslaved me. That was very real.
I quit.
Just completed 40 years of non-smoking this March.

The question is who are you trying to convince. Smoking harms your health. Period. As an ex-smoker (2+ years now) I can say from experience there is a definite improvement in my overall health.
Smoke if you want to, no one can tell you to quit. But don't delude yourself.

I stopped smoking because I wanted to be in control. It's a great and rewarding feeling to be in control. I don't live with fear any more, and that's the best reward.

When you set your mind to it, it could be done without too much effort. That's been my experience.

you're suited of course. Even the ingesting, why do you think of God forbid it? because of the fact it injury the physique and convey disrespect to those who beverages and islam do no longer elect such disgracing approach and subsequently forbid it. in accordance to shia doctrine, while you're smoking in the previous turning out to be shia, that's undesirable so you might proceed yet, in case you do no longer smoke in the previous turning out to be shia then that's illegitimate so you might commence smoking.
