Just be honest and kind. Don't put them down, in any way but don't be dishonest about things, either. Your partner would probably know you were not being truthful. If someone was breaking up with me, I would want to know the true reasons. All of what I just said, would only be if your boyfriend was not the raging mad type person who might do you harm.

Sorry, but there isn't any "good ways" to break up with someone. Just be clean and quick, and let the healing begin, Very hurtful for both sides.
