actually the best way is to pigtail two 6 inch black and two 6 inch white and two 6 inch ground wires to the power cord coming to box and hooking each outlet seperate....national electric code no longer allows you to just jumper one outlet from the other outlet....it is a fire hazard to jumper one outlet from the other outlet

If you have 2 outlets already, then they are probably tied together already.
Or is it, you want to add another outler next to it? If this is the case, then you will have to get a larger box and just run a jumper from one to the other, with the black wire going to the brass colored side and the white going to the silver side. The grounds go together with the bare wire. good luck

Colored wire on gold or color screw then over to other outlet same way, the white wire on silver screw and over to the other outlet same way or connect the outlets together first gold colored screws get colored wire silver screws get white wire. Easier than it sounds. Oh yea the NEC doesn't allow you to use the nuetral of an outlet to extend the circuit, but I think that's when you leave the box and go to the next opening.

use a piece of wire to jumper them out....like wwwstat said use wire nuts and connect two 6 inch pieces of wire from the main line and connect one to each outlet....hot. neutral and ground.... thats if you are tajking about two duplex receptacles.... if its a single duplex receptacle (one piece two plugs) then its hot to brass screw and neutral to silver... ground to green.... and if it is a metal box.... that must also be grounded by another jumper to the screw in the metal box
