Leading zeros?
if my answer to a question is 0.036089457 and I am to give final answer 4 place of precision with no leading zeros is the final answer=.3608 or .3609.

I have to enter my ansers into an autograding system that only accepts specified parameters so I cant enter a scientific notation...it will mark it wrong .

it needs to be to 4 places of precision with no leading zeros...

Q2

If by 4 "place of precision" you mean 4 significant figures, then you result is
.03609

There are 26 letters, and 10 digits,
so 260 possible codes
K9 is one of them
therefore 1/260

For Q2, you have 26 choices for the first position and 10 for the second. Hence there are a total of 260 possible passwords. If all else is equal, the probability is 1/260

Why are you worrying about which is harder? Do the one that makes sense for your future. If you will eventually use calculus, take precalculus. If you will not use calculus, precalculus won't make your life much better. However, if you're not going to head on to a math or science field, take statistics. Even if you don't use much math in the future, understanding statistics might help you make some sense of the way the world works (understanding the news, TV ratings, etc.).

i don't know the first question but on question two, the probabililty that the first character is K is 1/26 or 3.85% and the probability that the second character is 9 is 1/9 or 11.11% so the probability that the code is K9= .0384615x.111111 which equals .004273 or .427%

Firstly, let me lend a vote to .0369 answer for your first question -- note leasing 0s are omitted before the dot not after! Anything you omit after is going to be an error. Note also the rounding, it is not .0368 but rather 0.0369

The rest of the community nailed 1/260

No leading zeros means no zeros to the left of the decimal point. Your final answer should be .0361.

4 place precision refers to how precise the data is, not the size of it.

0.03609
0.0000000003609
3609
360900000000000
etc

All have precision to 4 places.
